(WEAU) -- The man accused of strangling a La Crosse woman and leaving her body in a parking lot has pleaded not guilty.
Online court documents show 44-year-old Izelia Golatt is charged with 1st degree intentional homicide.
Investigators say surveillance video of a mini van registered to Golatt that suggests he was with Kristen Rodgers the night of her murder.
The van was seen parked in the spot where Rodgers was found.
Investigators also say an autopsy revealed injuries to Rodger's neck are consistent with manual strangulation.
"This is sustained pressure being applied in the presence of active circulation, causing the hemorrhages to erupt in the eyes. Furthermore these injuries couldn't have been from a single impact; they are on both sides of the neck," says Dane Co. Medical Examiner Dr. Vincent Tranchida.
If convicted, Golatt could be sentenced to life in prison.
