EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Shear Inspiration Salon and Spa at Chippewa Valley Technical College is teaming up with Sexy Hair hair care products to help women battling cancer to look good and feel better.

On Tuesday, Shear Inspiration will be donating all proceeds for haircuts to the Look Good Feel Better nonprofit organization that helps women who are undergoing cancer cope with their hair loss. Shear Inspiration is joining Entourage Salon in Altoona and hundreds of other salons across the country that carry Sexy Hair products in taking part in the second annual Caring is Sexy Cut-a-Thon event.

Look Good Feel Better is a nonmedical program that teaches beauty techniques to cancer patients to help them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. In the United States alone, more than 850,000 women have participated in the program.

As a result of participation from salons across the nation, the 2012 Caring is Sexy Cut-A-Thon raised more than $115,000 on a single day for Look Good Feel Better.
