English might become the official language of the Badger State

Updated: 07/26/2013 - If a Wisconsin lawmaker has his way, English will be the official state language. Republican assemblyman André Jacque of De Pere is one of the bill's authors. He says more than 30 states in the U.S. have declared an official language. There were attempts in Wisconsin in 2007, 2009. Lawmakers will consider this bill in 2013-2014 legislature. The proposal would make English the official language for government expression.
