Updated: 06/03/2009 - DIvision 2's No. 1 ranked baseball team saw it's undefeated season come to an end Wednesday night, as Altoona fell to No. 6 Bloomer, 8-4, in a WIAA regional final.. The Blackhawks move on to face Nekoosa in the sectional semifinals on Tuesday. In Division 3, both Elk Mound and Osseo-Fairchild picked up regional final wins. Express Improve to 5-1 With Shutout Victory Over Thunder Bay

Updated: 06/02/2009 - The Eau Claire Express won for the fifth time in six game to start the 2009 Northwoods League season, beating the Thunder Bay Border Cats 4-zip at Carson Park Tuesday night. Express pitcher Louis Head was sensational, hurling seven shutout innings while Joe Bonfe and Robbie Knight had rbi singles for Eau Claire.
