Bloomer, McDonell Advance; Elk Mound Falls in WIAA State Baseball Semifinals

The Blackhawks will take on Madison Edgewood in the Division 2 state championship game Thursday at 3:00 p.m. In Division 4, Chippewa Falls McDonell staged a late-game rally, scoring once in both the seventh and eighth innings to defeat Burlington Catholic Central to move on to the Division 4 championship game. In Division 3, Elk Mound saw its season come to an end with a 5-2 loss to Kenosha St. Joseph's in the state semifinals.
