County Overcharges For Bad Checks

Updated: 03/04/2009 - Gerald Wilkie, from the county's Finance and Budget Committee, says the county had been charging people $20 for nonsufficient checks, but in 2005, it was given wrong information and started charging $30 instead. Now Wilkie says people who have a receipt or a check showing they paid $30 instead of $20 can come to the court house for a $10 refund.
