Locals craft lanterns for New Year's Eve parades

Visit Eau Claire hosted a Light Up EC lantern workshop at L.E. Phillips Memorial Library Saturday. People crafted homemade paper lanterns to help light up the sky during two parades for the city's New Year's Eve celebration.

Thousands of volunteers are honoring fallen veterans nationwide Saturday. Soldier’s Walk in Arcadia’s Memorial Park is one of over 1,200 locations across the country holding wreath-laying ceremonies to honor veterans.

A veteran-owned business gathered local artists together to raise money for a cause close to its heart this afternoon.

Runners in ugly Christmas sweaters gathered at Blue Ox Running to hit the pavement. The runners chose their course and their distance while collecting donations for the Community Table in Eau Claire.
