October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. And a number of students at UW-Stout are working with Bridge to Hope to organize an awareness rally.

Empower the Purple will take place Wednesday, October 28th at 6:30 p.m.

There will be a silent walk from the Stout clock tower to the Price Commons -- followed by speakers, music and awards.

The event will last until around 8:30 p.m.

We had Project Manager, Sara Greening and Katie Bowman from Bridge to Hope live in-studio to tell us more about the event.
