Duties: Conduct stability samples. Investigate or report questionable inspection results. Identify quality problems and work with others to recommend solutions. Use test equipment to evaluate the materials or products and record data from test procedures and inspections. Interpret inspection results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data. Ensure that inspection area cleanliness and safety standards are maintained. Maintain and monitor inspection equipment for calibration, proper use and care. Identify and troubleshoot any quality equipment problems. Assist in the writing and maintaining of standard quality control procedures, including work instructions. Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions. Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols. Participate in internal assessments and audits as required. Serve as a technical liaison between quality control and other departments, vendors or contractors.
Experience Needed: Considerable amount of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed.
Requirements: Must have a strong attention to detail, ability to read product specifications and blueprints, solid computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office products. Must possess active listening, writing and effective communication skills as well as reading comprehension and negotiation skills. Prepare and review operational reports or project progress reports.
