After leading by as many as fifteen points late in the third quarter, the Eau Claire Regis Boys Basketball team couldn't hold off a rally by the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds, losing in the Division Three State Semifinals 53-50.

Sophomore Jack Eaton led the Ramblers with 19 points, including a three-point basket that put Regis on top 47-32 with 1:14 remaining in the third quarter.

But Mike Griffin led a 21-8 Thunderbirds run over the final nine minutes. Griffin scored a game-high 21 points in the game, including 11 of 13 free throw attempts.

The Ramblers season ends with a record of 21-4 while Iola-Scandinavia improves to 24-2 and will face La Crosse Aquinas for the Division Three Championship Saturday at 6:35 p.m.
