A study finds how much a woman weighs can determine their baby's body fat percentage.
Researchers measured the body fat of 72 newborns.
While there was no difference in birth weight between babies born to normal weight and overweight women, they found babies whose mothers were overweight had significantly higher percentages of body fat.
Babies born to normal weight mothers had more fat-free mass.
Next researchers plan to determine how to treat babies born with high amounts of body fat.

A British couple who beat 200 to one odds to have identical triplets are getting to use to having their babies at home.
Olivia, Gabriella and Alessia are special babies.
Medical experts said Richard Rees and Carmela Testa were more likely to win the lottery than have three identical triplet girls.
Testa said she thought she was going to have all boys, so she was a little surprised with her girls.
But the family is getting along fine.
Testa said they're cleaning baby bottles almost continuously.
By the way, Testa is a midwife and the babies were born at work.
