Teach your baby to talk not just by talking to them, but by talking with them. A study of 275 families with kids under age 4 finds two-sided conversations with young children is key in building language skills.

Researchers say this leads to more opportunities for correcting mistakes while children practice speaking. Each hour of television watched, by the way, led to decreases in language, because people generally do not talk while the TV is on.

In other health news, a diet high in fat may increase your risk for pancreatic cancer, according to a new study.

Researchers at the national institutes of health studied food questionnaires filled out by over 500,000 people. They were followed for six years to track their health.

They found men who ate the most high-fat food had a 53% increased risk for pancreatic cancer, compared to men who ate the least fattening food.

Women who ate the most fat had a 23% higher risk for the disease.
