Your morning cup of coffee apparently does more than just perk you up if it has caffeine.
There's evidence out that caffeine is able to reverse memory impairment in lab mice that had been bred to develop symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.
The mice were given the equivalent of five cups of coffee a day. University of South Florida researchers say the caffeine decreased the levels of a protein linked to Alzheimer's in the brains and blood samples of the lab mice.
Researchers say they hope to study the effect of caffeine in humans.
