(WEAU) - The City of Osseo is working to help spread heart awareness, just in time for Heart Awareness Month.

Osseo and its surrounding communities are installing 10 more external defibrillators around the community, 6 of which will be used by first responders. Osseo EMS says the defibrillators will help first responders reduce their time from receiving a call to helping a patient in an emergency.

The new additions will give Osseo nearly 20 defibrillators.
