If you have a loved one who is home recovering from a stroke, you may need to make a few modifications to the house to help protect them from falling...

New research on stroke patients from New Zealand finds the majority who suffer falls 77% do so at home.

Researchers recommend improving lighting and removing obstacles in walkways.

The study also identifies several factors that could put patients at a greater risk for falling, including older age, a prior fall, and depression.

Of the more than 1,000 stroke survivors in this study, 37% said they'd fallen at least once in the six months after their stroke.

Any prolonged... but temporary... separation from Mom or Dad might put young children at risk for learning difficulties when they reach kindergarten.

A study of more than a thousand kids and their parents found those who'd been temporarily separated from one or both of their parents had more trouble with pre-literacy skills and learning new tasks.

The study did not look at what caused the separations, and include anything from divorce, jail time to even military service.
