NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (WEAU) – A trend of burglaries in a community has the Clark County Sheriff’s Department asking people there to keep an eye out for suspicious activity, and keep businesses and homes locked up.

Deputies say unknown suspects have been getting into outbuildings and homes during daytime hours along the eastern border of Clark County. The thieves have been running off with things like jewelry, household items, tools and equipment like air compressors and welders.

The department is investigating several cases.

If you see vehicles or people that appear to be out of the ordinary, call 911, and make note of what the people or vehicles look like and license numbers.

If you would like to remain anonymous you can call 888-847-2567 and leave a message.
