Fire captain dies after helping search for missing boater

(WEAU) – The Birchwood Fire Department says Captain John Colbert died late last week after responding to missing person rescue effort.

It says Colbert, 60, was working at the station during the search for a missing boater last Friday. He left the station to go home, and passed away 2 hours later.
