(WEAU) - A former Ho-Chunk Nation leader pleaded guilty to taking bribes in federal court Tuesday.
U.S. attorneys say Clarence Pettibone, 53, from Black River Falls faces up to 10 years in federal prison. He's set to be sentenced in July. Prosecutors say he was charged with being part of a bribery conspiracy with two others who have yet to go on trial.
Attorneys say Pettibone acknowledged he took an $8,000 car in exchange for his support of a business while he was a legislator for the nation.
