I have several friends and family in the Blair-Taylor area and I know they are already receiving the help that always accompanies this sort of situation and although I cannot be there immediately, I will be will early Saturday AM. I hesitate to use the word tragedy because it was, thankfully, a situation where no one was killed or injured badly from all reports. That is the reality and amazing thing about small rural communities. They will come together to help each other. It is a long way from the ignorance and pitiful impressions of those who believe rural means dumb and uneducated. Rather, it is the reciprocal of that very thought and those who invoke that thought are truly the dumb and uneducated ones, but one might well attempt to stop the rain from falling rather than attempt to educate them on that. They are hopelessly lost in self-involvement and self-interest. Thank God, I am blessed to not be one of them and God bless those who were affected by this storm.
