(WEAU) - Federal prosecutors say a Mondovi man will spend more than 15 years in prison after he was convicted of federal weapons charges.

William Ziemer, 48, pleaded guilty to a possession of firearms by a felon charge back in April. Prosecutors say he stole several guns from a home in Polk County and hid them at his sister's house.

He has three prior violent felony convictions, two in Minnesota and one in Eau Claire.
