Eau Claire Nationals memorable season ends in 2-1 loss in regional semifinal

INDIANAPOLIS-WEAU---It's been a memorable month for the Eau Claire Nationals 12-and-under little league baseball team. The Nationals won the Wisconsin State Championship back on July 27th at Carson Park. After posting a 3-and-1 record in pool play in the Great Lakes Regional in Indianapolis, Eau Claire earned the number one seed for the semifinal round.

The Nationals were just two wins away from becoming the first Wisconsin little league team to advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania but fell to Indiana 2-1 this afternoon in the regional semifinal in Indianapolis. The game was broadcasted live on ESPN2
