Highway 12 re-opened, crews still fighting grass fire

UPDATE: Highway 12 was re-opened to traffic in both directions just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – Crews have closed down Highway 12 between Fall Creek and Augusta because of a grass fire they are fighting near the highway.

Our crew on the scene says officers are detouring traffic at County Road V and County Road Jj on to Rodell Road around the fire. Our videographer says flames are visible and multiple crews have arrived to put them out.
