Restaurant donates $4,000 to local charities

(WEAU) - An Eau Claire pizza place has donated a percentage of its profits to four local charities.

Fired Up presented a check for $4,000 Wednesday to Feed My People, The Community Table, Sojourner House and The Boys and Girls Club. One of the owners of Fired Up says they’re proud to give part of their profits back to the Chippewa Valley.

Partial owner of Fired Up, Ben Anderson tell us "The charities actually are submitted by our customers so anyone who comes in the restaurant can send an email to us suggesting a charity. We look at the charities, see if they fit our mission and see how they benefit the Chippewa Valley and from there, the charities are selected."

Anderson says they hope to be able to donate to several different charities in the area throughout the year.
