Car hit by train in Trempealeau, no one hurt

(WEAU) -- The Trempealeau Co. Sheriff's Dept. says no one was hurt after a car was hit by a train in the Town of Trempealeau.

Deputies say it happened early Tuesday morning.

They say the car had gotten hung up on the railroad tracks and the people inside were trying to move it before it was hit by the train.

No one was in the car when the train hit.

The crossing was closed for five and a half hours.
