I totally agree with everything you say!! You hit it right on the nose. I am a single mom who works full time, the only benefit I receive is child care assistance...I have never done a drug in my life and I dont even smoke cigarettes. It seems like when they talk about drug testing people are so quick to say they should test people who receive help from the county such as myself...I personally find it a little offensive, especially when there are so many people who have multiple DUI's and continue to get them! And I agree, why arent the law makers tested. How about we all just live a responsible life, treat people with respect and not be so judgemental!!!

It's also very easy to be a drug user and pass a drug test by drinking something that cleans your system out 1st...people who regularly use drugs do this thus the test will catch the occasional user who may not know this can be done thus drug testing is a waste of money as it often doesn't fail the biggest users unless it is done with no notice.

I have an idea, let's make laws that micro-manage every aspect of every person's lives. If they want to require drug testing for employment, and state benefits, than drug test the law makers too...oh, that's right, the law makers don't want to be drug tested...I wonder why, hmmm... Just for the record, I'm not for or against testing. I just want to see the hypocrisy end...and if we refuse to hire people because they smoke grass on their own time, then we need to refuse to hire alcoholics too. If we refuse benefits to people because they fail a drug test, then we should refuse benefits to anyone who drinks alcohol too, booze is not cheap. Oh, someone bought you the beer, you're not cheating the state, how is that different from a friend smoking weed with you, you're not spending $ on it. I bet there are more people on state benefits that drink and buy alcohol, than there are people who do drugs (all drugs, combined). If you are going to test some workers, than test them all. Better yet, lets refuse a drivers license to anyone who does drugs OR drinks alcohol, I mean really, if we can't trust them to work safe, how can we trust them to drive safe? It's not like it matters whether the thc is 2 hrs or 20 days old, or if you had a beer 5min ago or 5 days ago, you're a user so you can't be trusted. *rolls eyes*

Yup, lets make all of them feel like criminals, and waste more taxpayer money while we are at it.

This makes it sound like Walker wants to start the debate on public assistance drug testing. Think about it, this comes out now, and next session if Walker is still there the republicans will push for another law that we can not afford.

When you go in for the drug test, they ask if you are taking any prescription drugs and if so what so they can rule those indications out.

But I don't want to work with someone when they are stoned. Safety first, get off the weed.

Not all "drug users" are "irresponsible" or "low class" as you may believe.
Just leagalize it already - Tax it like they do alcohol. Alcohol is more dangerous than mary jane.

Yes, they do, but they only find less then one percent tested for drugs, when added for the cost of drug testing, taxpayers pay more money even dumping the one percent off the public dole

sounds good. Let's start with all the CEO and business owners getting fat tax breaks. I'm sure they're more than happy to pee in a cup.

All the more reason to require random drug testing for welfare and unemployment compensation.
