(WEAU) - The jail administrator in Barron County is now on administrative leave.
Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald says Mark Evans was placed on paid leave last week. He's been with the department since 1996. Fitzgerald says he's under investigation for a violation of policy, and nothing criminal.
He says a detective with the department has been named the interim jail administrator, and the investigation should wrap up next week.
