(WEAU) - A restaurant is raising money to help kids get gifts this Christmas.
All day Tuesday, 100% of the sales at Altoona Family Restaurant will be donated to the "Shop with a Cop" program. The program has local law enforcement officers go Christmas shopping with less fortunate children, with the donated money going towards the children’s presents.
The program was such a success in Chippewa that the owner decided to do it at the Altoona Restaurant as well.
Eddie Sabani, Owner of the Altoona Family Restaurant says "It’s a good thing for the kids, good thing for the community. This is a part of what we do and we love to be part of good things for the community."
Eau Claire County Sheriff's deputies helped serve customers Tuesday.
