Eau Claire Memorial falls in shoot out to Kenosha Tremper

The Old Abes had a 2-0 lead in the first half with goals from Ali Quarberg and Asia Laudal before Kenosha Tremper would get on the board in the 33rd minute with a goal from Lizzie Hawbaker. Memorial would push the lead to 3-1 with a goal from Katelyn Fladten in the 71st minute but Kenosha Tremper would come storming back with two goals in the final 7 minutes of the game to send the first quarterfinal of the state tournament into overtime.

After two scoreless 10 minute overtimes, the teams faced off in a shoot out. Trojans were able to score on their first four kicks, while Ellie Budzinski and McKenna Gruber were stopped on Memorial's 3rd and 4th attempts, leaving the Trojans as victors and handed Memorial their first loss of the year. Kenosha Tremper will play Friday in the semifinals.
