A guilty verdict Friday night in Marinette for the white hunter accused of shooting and stabbing a Hmong hunter while both were squirrel hunting last January.
>
The jury took 4 and a half hours in deliberation before convicting James Nichols of second-degree intentional homicide, in the death of Cha Vang.
>
The two hunters ran into each other in the Peshtigo Wildlife Area. Jurors listened to two taped interviews between Nichols and detectives in which he make derogatory comments about Vang's ethnicity.
>
Nichols had also told investigators that he and Vang had been shooting at each other before Nichols ran to Vang and stabbed him in the neck.
