If you already have 3,000 cars, trucks and motorcycles, what's one more? For “The Tonight Show” host Jay Leno, let's just say he tends to order his vehicles "off the menu"...and a La Crosse bike maker is coming through.
S&S Cycle Incorporated will make a custom motorcycle engine for Leno. Leno is known for his jokes but he also has a car and motorcycle collection that number in the thousands. It took S&S technicians six months to design the custom engine.
"We traveled out there, went to “The Tonight Show” and had dinner with Jay afterwards. He served us some New Zealand beef steaks and talked about the project and that's really how it got started," says S&S Cycle President Brett Smith.
The bike will be finished and brought to California in the next few days.
