U.S. health officials say more flu vaccine is on the way.
Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson says the manufacturer, Aventis Pasteur, will send 2.6 million new doses of the vaccine to the United States.
The U.S. is already expecting to receive some 24 million shots in the next couple weeks.
Thompson says we should expect a total of around 60 million doses of vaccine and nasal spray.
In addition, U.S. officials say they have enough anti-viral medication to treat about 40 million flu victims.
Thompson says that leaves more than enough treatment to deal with the coming flu season.
