More than 500 Pederson Elementary School students cast their vote for President on Friday in Altoona.
The mock election was hosted by the students and teachers of the 4th grade. Authentic voting booths were loaned to the school to make the process seem realistic.
The polls didn't close until 2 p.m., but that didn't stop students from speculating about the outcome. "If you're counting the school, George Bush totally. But John Kerry won most the debates, so Kerry's got more of an edge," according to 4th grader Mike Byrns.
President Bush came away with 68 percent of the total vote. John Kerry finished second with 30 percent, and Ralph Nader earned two percent.
