A Spooner man accused of causing life threatening injuries to his fiancée’s daughter wants his trial moved to another county.

Michael Stoner was on his way to visit the two year old at a Minnesota hospital when the I-35 W Bridge collapsed and he was on it.

Stoner is charged with first degree reckless endangerment, physical abuse of a child and obstructing an officer in the case.

Washburn County district attorney, Mike Bitney says he received a request from stoner's attorney to move the trial. A judge will decide on the motion at a hearing at the end of the month.
