Some pastors are criticizing the N-F-L for scheduling this week's Vikings-Packers game on Christmas Eve.
The Reverend Eugene Tiffany of St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis says the N-F-L is showing commercial arrogance and a fundamental disregard for things that really matter.
The pastors say the two p-m game will cut into church services and family time on Christmas Eve.
The N-F-L admits the decision to play the game on a Friday afternoon was driven by television.
League spokesman Greg Aiello says the league usually offers a T-V tripleheader on the second-to-last Saturday of the regular season -- but none of the networks wanted to televise a noon or one p-m game on Christmas Day.
