The Menomonie man accused of spray-painting the home of neighboring Hmong families made his initial appearance in Dunn County Court Tuesday morning.
Thirty-eight-year-old David L. Miller pleaded not guilty to two counts of criminal damage to property.
Police say in late November, Miller spray-painted the word "killer" on his neighbor's home in a Menomonie mobile home court.
That same day, another Hmong family reported the same word spray-painted on both their home and their pickup truck parked outside.
If convicted, Miller faces a year and a half in prison and a $20,000 fine.
He will be back in court next month.
