Jake Dowell Scores 1st NHL Goal Thursday in Calgary
Eau Claire native Jake Dowell scored his first NHL goal Thursday night in Calgary. In a TV-13 Sports EXCLUSIVE, Sports Director Bob Gallaher was at Dooley's Pub in Eau Claire with camera in tow as Jake's family and friends watched his special moment.

For Eau Claire native Jake Dowell, his dream of playing in the National Hockey League became a reality Thursday night as Dowell suited for the Chicago Blackhawks for the first time. And in his first NHL game, Jake did the unthinkable, he scored his 1st NHL goal, a shorthanded unassisted goal in the second period as Chicago went on to beat Calgary 2-1. In a TV-13 Sports EXCLUSIVE, Sports Director Bob Gallaher was at Dooley's Pub in Eau Claire as Jake scored his first goal with his parents and friends watching his first game on the big screen television, and talked with Jake's mom Vicki moments after watching her son accomplish his lifelong goal.
