Salvation Army Focuses on Tsunami Victims

The Salvation Army in Wisconsin will launch a campaign on Wednesday to try to raise $5 million to help build homes in Sri Lanka.

The campaign will run throughtout the year and the money will be used to construct 1,000 new homes in the devastated island country.

Salvation Army Spokesman Jamey Shields says his organization is working closely with the Sri Lankan government.

The local Salvation Army met its Christmas fund-raising goal of $2.5 million.

It's already taken in $250,000 for tsunami victims.
