Most students learn about science from a textbook and movies, but one Augusta science teacher is taking the classroom outdoors with the use of a mobile science lab.
With the help of grants, Paul Tweed was able to convert an old school bus into a moving science lab.
Mr. Tweed says he's able to take his students out into the field and have a hands on approach when learning about science.
The mobile lab has been in use for about a year and a half.
Next year Tweed says they plan to partner with the Beaver Creek Reserve and create a charter school focusing on the natural environment.
