"About 80 percent of people can be effectively treated and will experience significantly improvement in a matter of two to three months."

There are a number of different helplines.

Here in Eau Claire, the county's Human Services Department has a 24 hour helpline 832-5030. Contact your county for more information on treatments available.

Otherwise, the National Mental Health Association is also available at 1-800-273-8255.
