Feelings are bittersweet Friday for volunteers and workers of the Chippewa County Humane Association.
The old building, that burned Monday night, is being torn down Friday, an area farmer donated his tractor for use.
Donations of all kinds are actually coming in from all over the state and even outside Wisconsin.
Shelter director Didget Weber says people from as far away as Colorado are sending leashes, kennels, and collars. She also says the Oshkosh Humane Society is sending what they aren't using.
Chippewa Valley businesses have donated computers and other office equipment to go into the new shelter..
And at northwestern bank, where a fund is set up, donations currently total about $6,200.
On another positive note, Weber says one of the dogs that got away from them during the fire has been seen near Lake Wissota Friday.
She says he's a small white husky that answers to the name of Latte.
