Employers now have a Web site where they can go shopping for new U-W System grads without making recruiting trips to the various campuses.
About 32-thousand students graduate from the U-W System every year. The online job posting system will connect Wisconsin employers with college seniors looking for jobs and with recent grads living in other states.
The U-W System has been working on the interactive Web site for five years to stem the brain drain of graduates taking jobs in other states.
Registered employers can post jobs or internships as often as they want. Students can e-mails resumes and job applications.
The U-W System estimates about 20 percent of graduates leave within the first five years.
System President Kevin Reilly says the new site could lure back some alumni who've moved away -- or help keep talented graduates here.
The Web site is www.myconsortium.com/wisconsin/employer.
