La Crosse To Pay For Repairs to Bliss Road
The city will cover about $600,000 for the project.

Repairs on Bliss Road could start this summer after an unanimous vote from the La Crosse Committee of the Whole.
The road leads directly from the city up to Grandad Bluff. It was damaged from last year's flooding.
The city was trying to share the cost with the towns of Shelby and Medary, but both towns to this point have not contributed any money to the repair costs.
Public works director Dale Hexom says the project will cost almost $2 million dollars.
"I would think the council, by their vote sixteen to zero, indicates they want it open as opposed to a biking-hiking pedestrian trail."
Hexom says the city will have to pay about $600,000 dollars for the project.
