The Eau Claire County Highway Department says it'll pay up if a snow plow damages your mailbox.
Chair of the Highway Committee, Pat Lavelle says the department will give you $50 if a driver hits your box.
He says the money will likely come right out of the highway fund.
Highway commissioner Tom Walther says the county used to give each person an ordinary aluminum mailbox as a replacement.
Before this, Walther says it could cost up to $100 for his workers to put up that new box.
