(WEAU) – The cause of a sinkhole in Eau Claire is still a mystery.
Police say it could be from the storm late Wednesday afternoon or a water main break, but they have Eddy Lane near Mercury Avenue and Venus Avenue blocked off because of road damage. Our crew on the scene says water is coming out of the pavement, but officers don't know if it's a water main break or rain water getting under the pavement.
Officers say it could be a while before it reopens.
