Murder Suspect Issued $2M bond

Monroe County issued a two million dollar cash bond today for the Tomah man who allegedly shot and killed his father Friday night.
24 year old David Cummins is charged with first degree intentional homicide and the use of a dangerous weapon in the murder of his father, John T. Cummins.
According to the criminal complaint, the suspect said he loved his father but had many verbal altercations with him.
The complaint also says a discussion was held between the two where the suspect talked about whether he was going to kill his father.
But Monroe County District Attorney Dan Cary said this is not an open and shut case.
"Let's get this straight. He is innocent until proven guilty. Nothing has been proven at this point," Cary says.
A preliminary trial date has not been scheduled. Cummins will also serve jail time for four other charges in Rock County.
