Eau Claire, Wis (WEAU) - The power line is back up Tuesday night and the lanes are reopened on State Street.

Eau Claire, Wis. (WEAU) - The Eau Claire Fire Department says one of the northbound lanes on the hill remains closed and it doesn’t expect it to completely reopen until 7 or 8 p.m.

Eau Claire, Wis. (WEAU)-The City of Eau Claire says the northbound lane of the State Street hill is shut down due to a broken power pole.

The southbound lane of the hill is still open. That's headed up the hill. City workers say the area should be avoided due to the closed lanes and traffic delays.

The city says a tractor trailer hauling a concrete beam was making a turn from Lexington onto State Street, hit a power pole and snapped it off near the base. The high voltage lines are currently hanging over the road. Barricades are in place for safety reasons. Xcel Energy is also on the scene.
