Ladysmith Focuses on Tourism

Video will be available shortly.

In the days after Ladysmith's tornado, the task of cleaning up and putting back together a town was simply overwhelming for Ladysmith's 4,000 residents.
Calls and pleas went out for help, and volunteers showed up by the hundreds.
Today, new businesses can be seen throughout town, and the buildings, have a fresh, new look.
Three years later, the call is now for tourists, and for people who want to make a business or be employed in Ladysmith.
Rusk County's Economic Development Director Andy Albarado says businesses are needed to support their hiking, biking, boating, and other recreational activities.
It's also their focus to draw tourists from areas like Hayward, where they say, are becoming saturated with people.
