Authorities responded to a possible drowning late this afternoon at Riverview Park on Eau Claire's west side.
Eau Claire Police along with Eau Claire Fire and Rescue were on the scene shortly before five.
Witnesses say they were approached by two females. One of them said their brother was drowning. The boy was found farther down the beach.
"I was doing CPR by myself for like 5-10 minutes and another guy jumped off his boat and came and he's a nurse so he told me keep on doing compressions while he was breathing because I was doing both by myself," said Vicki Gates, a witness to the event.
The boy was rushed to a local hospital. There is no word on his condition.
