According to a new survey out from Manpower, local unemployment was at 4.3 percent, compared to the state's 4.6 percent.
The Eau Claire branch manager is reporting that, while low unemployment is good for the economy, it can make it difficult for companies to expand, which he says many area employers are looking to do.
"Area businesses are stressed on finding people for their workforce. We're actually feeling that because our customers are contacting us all the time for employment needs," says Steve Bjornson.
Bjornson says there are immediate openings in all fields, including industrial, professional and health care.
