ATV riders can hit the Eau Claire County trails again, starting Thursday, May 1st.

The Eau Claire County Parks and Forest Department closes the trails annually from March 15 to May 1 to minimize soil erosion on the soft moistened ground from snow melt and early spring rains.

Only ATV's with current state registration are allowed on the designated trails.

Eau Claire County urges everyone to abide by state and county regulations.
